It protects your house. Paint is like a physical shield from the sun, rain, and insects. And it does a lot more than provide protection; it increases curb appeal and property value. New paint makes an old house look fresh.
With proper prep work and premium paint, it will last anywhere from 7 to 10 years, often much longer. Hire a cheap crew that skips scraping and priming, and you will only get 3 years before it starts bubbling off.
All of them. This applies to every surface. Stucco & wood siding, trim & fascia, and doors must be power-washed, loose paint scraped, and sand & primed. The new wet paint will not stick to a surface that is not clean and dull.
We use only premium acrylic latex paints. They are flexible; they will expand and contract with the day without cracking. They also contain heavy UV protectants built into the chemical formula to prevent the sun from fading the color.
It is super simple. One year, you can pressure wash the outside of your house with a standard garden hose to get all the dirt, pollen, and dust off the walls. Blowing it point-blank with a high-pressure power washer will chip the paint. Just keep the walls clean and check caulking around windows for cracks before winter hits.
